Hi everyone I am Eliana Groves, Teen Miss Utah Earth 2020. The Miss Earth Organization provides a platform for girls to spread awareness about environmental causes they are passionate about through community service, fundraising, hosting events and other opportunities. Growing up in the mountains of beautiful Utah, I have grown an appreciation for the outdoors and would love to give back to my community by spreading awareness for trail and recreational sustainability. As an avid mountain biker, hiker, and skier I use the trail systems and recreation of the Cottonwood Canyons frequently and I aim to make an environmental impact on these areas so that others can appreciate them as well.
I have chosen to fundraise for the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation to support their mission in providing education and stewardship opportunities in the Cottonwood Canyons. Some environmental projects they are involved with include, trail work, graffiti removal, removing invasive weeds, restoration, Wasatch wildflower field trips, snowshoe trips with naturalist guides, and their ski with rangers program.
