Please join me in supporting the indigenous people of this great land!
While I was camping in Washington and Utah this summer, I was reflecting on how much state land is free to be enjoyed by the citizens of the United States. We are blessed to have such a beautiful country, but the sad truth is, we live on stolen land.
While we vacation, camp, and recreate, we rarely consider that many of the sites we are on, are sacred to indigenous peoples. We rarely consider that many tribes do not have access to their original lands. We rarely consider that for us to enjoy this beautiful space, others have to be pushed out.
If you live or recreate in North America, consider that your privilege has come at a price to others. Let's begin to appreciate, honor, respect, and try to pay back and protect the indigenous people of this great land.
Please join me in supporting the indigenous people of North America. The Native American Rights Fund provides legal assistance to tribes, individuals and organizations that might not have had adequate representation. The products in this fundraiser are all from organic and Fair Trade brands. The Wakami Bracelets are made by indigenous women in Guatemala and for each teddy bear purchased, BearsForHumanity will give one bear to a child in need.
